Antique Early 19th Cent Imari Teapot Hinged Lid Gold Trim Hand Painted 850P. An exquisite antique porcelain Imari painted teapot with a hinged lid that dates to the late 18th or early 19th Century. Marked 850 P on the bottom. Decorated in the traditional Imari colors of deep cobalt blue, orange, and gold. Measures about 10″ from end to end and about 7″ high. Extremely beautiful and very rare. The surface is crazed. Gold, especially on the edges, shows wear. There is a small chip to the lid. Close examination shows that the handle has been repaired – probably reglued.
