This is an absolutely gorgeous, timeless, and charming set of antique hand painted china from Germany. The plates themselves were made by top manufacturers of the early 1900’s then all were hand painted by an unknown artist, perhaps from one of the manufacturers or someone else entirely. The resulting set is quite stunning and collectable. 1 Double Handled Serving. Plate, 10 1/4 in diameter. 2 Lunch/Salad Plates, 7 3/8 in diameter. These were Manufactured by Thomas (Bavaria). Thomas’ operated as an independent subsidiary of Rosenthal. 2 3-Handled Plates, 7 7/8 in diameter. Manufactured by RS Tillowitz Silesia. RS Silesia appears on. Made at the Reinhold Schlegelmilch factory in Tillowitz, Germany, from the 1920s to the 1940s. 1 Round Plate, 6 3/4 in diameter. The Hutschenreuther porcelain company was established in 1814 in the Bavarian town of Hohenburg by Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther. He employed artists, craftsmen and sculptors from across Europe to ensure a high quality of workmanship and product was achieved. Manufactured by J & C Bavaria. J&C Jaeger Bavarian China. Jaeger started in 1898 with Fritz Thomas, they formed a partnership that lasted until 1902. Thomas left and founded his own factory, which eventually became a subsidiary of Rosenthal. The following Pieces are unmarked… 1 Sugar Bowl and (1) Lid. 1 Nut Bowl, Tri-Handled, 6 1/2 in diameter. 19 Pieces in all. All are perfectly matched and exquisite. Well cared for, no damage or issues. There is a clue on salt & pepper shakers that may allude to the artist. This is a v. Set of early china.
