Fine Ridgway Teapot, Hand painted Blossoms, Gilded Birds, 2/287, c1815. Superb Ridgway London shape teapot. Beautifully painted and gilded blossoming tree with exotic birds on a light blue ground. Long, old, stable hairline at the base that can be seen from the inside that runs one side and around one end(handle end) No other chips or cracks. One of a large number of late 18thC, early 19thC teapots, cups & saucers, plates etc from a comprehensive single collection, much of which was acquired from the Valerie Howard collection, comprising Coalport, John Rose, New Hall, Worcester, Miles Mason and more.
