This is a beautiful Victorian brooch hand made and mounted with a garland by seed pearls surrounding a porcelain Greek / Roman Sepia hand painted picture , it dates around the 1880s – 1900s period º WEIGHT 17.4 Grams The porcelain painting is just beautifully and intricately detailed with two centurion men one resting on the ground reading what looks like a scroll, all magnificently painted in Sepia colours º GEMSTONES Pearl /porcelain It is framed in 18ct yellow gold , and completed by the seed pearls all of which are crisp and white º METAL 18ct yellow gold A beautiful rare brooch that is in wonderful condition for its age, The pin and c clasp are original and in perfect working order, The reverse of the porcelain has surface crazing , this has not gone through to the frong and poses no security issues º DIMENSIONS 50mm by 43mm The brooch is not hallmarked this is not uncommon on a piece of this age º CONDITION Good for age.
