Exquisite Decorative 7 1/2 SCALLOPED EMBOSSED RIM Set of 3 SALAD PLATES from Bavaria Tirschenreuth Porcelain Factory, Hand Painted by H. DESCRIPTION: The exquisite set of 3 scalloped rimmed decorative salad plates was decorated by a talented artist, H. Krott, using the orange, green, and yellow color palette on the white porcelain. The nasturtiums have yellow throats and look beautifully realistic. There is raised white highlights on the flowers to give depth to the flowers. The color wash behind the flowers varies from dark green to light green to a rosy light orange. The trim on the rim is a stippled band of gold. These plates are absolutely beautiful, so bright and cheerful! CONDITION: While these salad plates are classified as used, their condition is superb. One plate does have a slight spot of wear to the green under the stippled gold on the rim. See photo #4 at the 11:00 o’clock position. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, other rubbings, scratches, crazing or hairlines. See the photos to judge their beauty and condition for yourself. DIMENSIONS: The plates are 7 1/2″ with a height of 7/8″. HISTORY/MARKS: Carl Magnus Hutschenreuther formed his company in 1814 in Hohenberg an der Eger, Bavaria and his son, Lorenz Hutschenreuther formed his company in 1857 in Selb, Bavaria. This latter company acquired P. Porcelain Factory in 1927 and then in 1969 was merged with the former company and continued operation as Hutschenreuther AG (Selb, Bavaria) until 1994 when the Tirschenreuth factory was closed due to bankruptcy. These plates have the green underglaze P. Bavaria (Porcelain Factory Tirschenreuth founded 1838 in Tirshenreuth, Bavaria) mark #755 in Robert E.
