Ohme Hand Painted Signed EVT Art Nouveau Portrait Pink Luster & Gold Plate 1906 Very pretty fluted edge porcelain luncheon sized cabinet plate. Nicely decorated with a hand painted central Art Nouveau style portrait of a lady with long brunette / brown hair with grape vines and purple grapes over a gold gilt background. The fluted border is decorated with dark pink luster. With gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the reverse with a crown over a fancy OH Silesia. This mark was used by Hermann Ohme between 1900 and 1920. Signed EVT with the date 06 for 1906. The portrait is based on a design from the May 1900 edition of Keramic Studio, listed as adapted from a design by Privat Livemot. Has one very small gilded over chip to the edge, mostly visible from the back. Also has some minor wear to the gilding and a few small spots of wear to the enamel on the lady’s hair. Otherwise good condition with no additional chips or cracks. Measures approximately 8 5/8 inches wide.
