












English Hand Painted Lake Como Pink Roses Raised Gold & Green 9 3/8 Inch Plate Nice antique mid 19th century English / British bone china plate. Decorated with a hand painted scene depicting a castle or villa on Lake Como in Italy with mountains, lake, trees, and a figure on a road framed by a wide gold band with raised gold lines and triangles. Has a pale green border with raised gold red large Greek / Roman key type designs and pink roses swags. Double gold gilding along the edge. Gold bands and dots along the inner rim of the plate. Has the name of the scene Lake of Como on the reverse in red script, but otherwise unmarked. Circa 1850 to 1860s. Has some wear to the gilding, usage wear to the center of the plate, and a scratch to the bottom of the scene, but no chips or cracks. Measures approximately 9 3/8 inches wide.
